Repeatedly, in this book I saw myself through the characters. The story of someone's journey for answers to life's biggest questions, is the most moving and inspiring tales of all. I was captivated by this narrative of yet another classic spiritual odyssey.

Why do some lead, and others follow? Why do some ideas stick, and others vanish? The ability to innovate and create a disruptive idea is rare among society. However, those that can quickly siege an opportunity and expand rapidly always succeed. This book dives into mechanics of why some people start trends, and others simply follow.

This book brought one key concept to my mind - All or nothing. Wether it be a startup, playing a sport, or even serving as a soldier in the military, commitment to the end goal is key. The attitude that purely the effort of trying to succeed at something will be enough to become successful is an utter lie. There is no try, only do. This book portrays a man who's commitment to success, is only outdone by his seemingly ever present hope in God. The legendary life of Edward Rickenbacker is inspiring.

Written in the early 1920s, this Russian story is of a dystopian future government, who's very nature permeates persecution, oppression and strives for complete control of her citizen. However, although stricken from their God given rights, the majority of people do not notice their oppression.
Within a society organized in a state, incidentally, the governing body always tends towards a totalitarian regime. The answers given within this story lead to only more questions.. For this story has no solution.

The central theme of this book is that capitalism inevitably moves towards a welfare state by the enslavement of the masses, who own no property (thereby the means of production), to a massive economic machine with no boundaries for its ever extending reaches.
